Just a short drive inland from Seward you will find the dramatic Harding Ice Field Trail. There is a Kenai Fjords National Park visitors center at the trailhead.  Surprisingly, there is no National Park entry fee. The trail zigzags up the side of Exit Glacier providing a constant flow of jaw-dropping views.

Round trip is about 9.5 miles with 3,800 feet of elevation gain, starting at sea level.  On a warm August day, the trail was well used, but not overcrowded.
