The Janji Ascend Sports Bra is one of three sports bras currently offered by Janji. If you aren’t familiar with Janji, the products are made to sell and sell out quickly.

One of the standout features of the Janji Ascend Sports Bra is its comfortable fit. The bra is designed to provide excellent support without feeling too tight or restrictive. The Groundwork fabric is another highlight—it is soft, breathable, and effectively wicks moisture away. The stretch-knit material has light compression and a smooth next-to-skin feel for an effortless stride. Janji’s Groundwork high-performance material is 100 % polyester. It’s also bluesign® certified, reaching the gold standard for more sustainable textiles. Janji’s materials are PFC-free, recycled, and odor-resistant for less frequent washing.

The phone pocket in the back is one of the Ascend Sports Bra’s best features.

The high-impact Janji Ascend Sports Bra has a triple-layer band for durable support for A-D cup sizes known as the T.A.B. (targeted anti-bounce.) The bra’s internal removable padded inserts and mesh lining improve compression and breathability.

The Ascend Sports Bras are available in three colors: Midnight (black), Coastal (blue), and Poppy (orange) and eight sizes to fit all types of women.

My Thoughts

The bra is true to size, offering a snug but comfortable fit that adapts well to various body shapes. It is easy to put on and take, which has been great for post-workout convenience. The fabric wicks away moisture from my skin. Even after the most sweaty runs, I have no moisture issues.  The best part of the bra is the support. With its support, comfort, and moisture-wicking ability, it is a top choice if you have a larger bust seeking support.

Besides the great support, the next best thing is that this bra does not chaff. Even during long runs or at the gym, the bra remains comfortable, in place, and irritation-free, unlike my other bras, where the straps move or the back clip rubs. I can not speak highly enough of the Janji sports bra.

Another great benefit is the feature of the phone pocket located in the back.  The bra fits snuggly to prevent the phone from bouncing around during physical activity. I forget it is there!

What I Would Change

I would not change anything as this has quickly become my favorite sports bra, much preferred over my previous Brooks sports bra. Because the bra is a compression-style sports bra, you do lose the ability to adjust shoulder or back straps, so if a personal adjustment is a must for you, you may struggle with the Janji sports bra. By not having the adjustable straps, I get better support because the straps are used to loosen up during runs.
